Most bios tell you what someone has done. I’m more interested in who I am and who I’m becoming. I’ve done a lot of things. Some I’m proud of, some less so, and some I’m still figuring out.
For context, I’ve been a greenhouse worker, “rock star”, record label owner, landscaper, sound guy, designer, web developer, agency owner, and unemployed.
The thread running through it all is curiosity, creativity, and, I hope, a measure of kindness. I’m grateful for every season. I’m also grateful that seasons change, even though I find change difficult.
I have five children from three mothers. I wear the same uniform every day. I run. I keep bees. I measure success by work I’m proud of and moments I’m there for.
Does any one have any questions?

Taylor Williams is a multidisciplinary creative based in Middle Tennessee, working across television, film, styling, costume, and bespoke footwear. Over the past five years, Taylor has worked on independent film sets and productions including 9-1-1: Nashville and Scarpetta. Taylor has also worked as an assistant stylist and stylist for major Christian touring bands and emerging musical artists, bringing experience across wardrobe, clothing, accessories, and visual presentation.
Taylor’s work is rooted in a hands-on approach to design and making. After studying fashion and footwear in London, including at Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion, Parachute Collective and London Sneaker School, Taylor pursued traditional English bespoke shoemaking and further developed skills in styling, millinery, and garment construction. Taylor is now building Taylor’d Co (TDCO), a bespoke footwear practice creating one-of-a-kind shoes that combine traditional techniques with contemporary design back at home outside of Nashville.
Having grown up around Franklin, Taylor is so excited about contributing to Flax Co. Opportunities to pursue and experience various creative outlets haven’t been readily available locally, making the decision to move countries, learn, and return with a distinct set of skills especially meaningful. Through both professional work and Taylor’d Co, Taylor hopes to bring new perspectives and niche craftsmanship to the region while helping foster the kind of creative community that future generations of makers can grow within.
